Privacy
Inglen runs on your PC and keeps your chats, memory and files there. There is no account. This page lists everything that leaves your PC, and what this website collects.
What stays on your PC
Your chats, the notes it keeps about you, your settings and files stay in folders on your own disk. We never receive them.
What leaves your PC, and only when you use it
- The brain you pick. If you use a cloud model or an agent such as Claude Code or Codex, your messages and what the assistant reads for them go to that provider, under its own terms. A model on your PC sends nothing.
- Web search and pages. When the assistant looks something up, the search goes to DuckDuckGo and the pages it reads are fetched from their sites.
- Chat apps and email. If you set up Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp or email, messages go through those services.
- Icons. Small icons for the sites and services it shows are fetched from those sites.
- Downloads. Update checks and downloads of Inglen, the model engine and models come from GitHub and Hugging Face. Updates for agents you have installed come from npm. Once a day it reads the public models.dev list for model details. None of these carry anything about you beyond your internet address.
The install count (off unless you say yes)
Setup asks whether to count this install, and the answer is no unless you choose yes. If you do, once a day it sends exactly this: a random id made for your install, the version, the operating system, and whether the brain is on your PC, in the cloud or an agent. No names, messages or files. It goes to our server, which keeps one row per install per day for at most 400 days and does not store your internet address. Turn it off in Settings, Behavior.
Inglen Plus
- Phone and PC. Everything between your phone and your PC is end-to-end encrypted with keys only those two devices hold. It passes through our relay, which cannot read it. The relay does see which pairing a message belongs to, when messages pass and how large they are, and keeps up to 200 sealed messages for up to 7 days while your phone is away.
- Notifications. If you turn them on, sealed notices reach your phone through Google's push service (the Android app, and web push in Chrome), which sees when they arrive and how large they are, not what they say.
- Payment. Plus is sold through Dodo Payments, who handle your payment details as the seller of record. We receive your email address and licence, not your card. The app checks your licence key with Dodo Payments.

Your choices
You can delete anything the assistant remembers from its Memory page, remove its folders, or uninstall it. To ask about data tied to a Plus purchase, write to hello@inglen.app.
